The Logo

Updated: Sep 30, 2021

When the idea of Purple Tree Coaching + Consulting was born in my heart, I wanted to create a brand that represented “me.” A brand that would speak of my story and why I’m passionate about the work that we do. I’ve been able to do this through our business logo. You may be wondering the meaning behind a purple tree or why I chose this as my brand logo.

A few years ago, I lost my son Jon Daniel. The pain of losing him was unbearable, but I was fortunate to be surrounded by friends and family who did their best to help alleviate some of the pain. One of them was a good friend of my family who decided to honor my son by donating trees in his name. I thought it was such a beautiful way to commemorate my son; since then, I started noticing and loving trees so much more, all the different shapes and sizes.

It was then when I decided a tree should represent my brand. I wanted a tree that wasn’t fully developed or grown. This tree represents a person who is growing, developing, and blooming in due season. The three branches are in different sizes to represent the growth and improvement in a person’s life. This idea of a growing tree brought to my mind one of my favorite Bible verses, and one that I identify with:

“He (She) is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he (she) does, (she)he prospers”. - Psalms 1:3

I see myself as that tree, and I believe God sees me in the same way.

The reason why I chose three leaves on the tree was to represent my children. My firstborn, who initially inspired the logo, and my two other children Jocelyn and Joseph. The leaves are shaped like teardrops to symbolize the tears of pain and joy that each has brought me. The tree is me; it represents my story.

The tree is purple because purple is my favorite color. I love the color purple and all of its shades. I didn’t know the significance of this color, and as I researched more into what purple symbolizes, I realized it represents my personality so much.

The color purple represents compassion, understanding, support, and putting others first. These characteristics represent what we value at Purple Tree Coaching + Consulting. We want to come alongside our clients and help them achieve their goals.

Our aim is for our clients to feel confident that working with Purple Tree Coaching + Consulting means working with a company that cares - a company that is comprised of people who believe in their brand and company and will bring a human touch to the process.
